Oz is a great place for public toilets. There aren’t many public ones left in the UK now – sadly. Most places have ‘Community scheme toilets’ – places that allow public use of their toilets – libraries, pubs, some supermarkets etc. etc – if you know who and where they are.
Which reminds me of this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clochemerle_(TV_series) I remember it well, it was compulsive viewing at the time. I didn’t realize that it was so long ago. April 1972 – a month before I joined the Navy. My. How tempus doth fugit!

These are really lovely. Public facilities are often a bit of an eyesore, but not these ones.

France isn’t great on public ones either but it’s not because they’ve closed down, they weren’t there in the first place.
